Are you truly Episcopalian?
The priest for our subcongregation, Richard Griffin, was ordained in the apostolic succession by Bishop Huron Manning, presiding bishop of the Southern Episcopal Church. Bishop Manning traces his succession in the line that passes through the Old Catholic Church.

What Makes You Different from Other Conservative Episcopal Churches?
Imagine a spectrum, if you will. Label one end, "Truth inheres in what a statement says" and "Ministry flows through programs". For convenience, call that the "Modern" end of the spectrum. Label the other end, "Truth inheres in who is speaking" and "Ministry flows through relationships". For convenience, call that the "Postmodern" end of the spectrum.

While all of us fall at some point on that spectrum, very few of us fall all the way to one end or the other. For example, even if you believe that truth rests in words and not the speaker, you probably choose to be wary when someone you know is a liar states an obvious fact. You know that even though the words themselves are true, he's probably trying to deceive you with them.

But imagine the mid-point of that spectrum. Most of the conservative Episcopal churches fall out toward the "modern" end - inclined to believe that truth lies in the words that are spoken. Our congregation falls out toward the "postmodern' end. We believe that truth and ministry flow through people, especially the Holy Spirit.
