I was born in Montana in 1941 and grew up in North Dakota. I bought "fire insurance" salvation at age seven and made Jesus Christ my Lord while in high school. God provided a Dartmouth College education and introduced me to Gina during that time. During April of my freshman year God called me to be a missionary to Muslims and to use medicine as a tool to reach them.

Medical school, residency, and a fellowship, twelve years later , my family and I began a ten year period as missionaries in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. While in the Middle East we came to love many christian and muslim arabs. Here we learned that God calls us to obedience, not to success. From Al Ain He led us to Amherst in 1985 where I practice as a surgeon and Elder at CCA.

Gina and I were married in 1965. We have three adult children and three grandchildren. Our kids live in Chicago, Hookset and Damascus, Syria. Our great joy is spending time with our kids and grandkids.

As an elder at CCA I thrill to see God's hand at work in our midst. Shepherding the building of our present facility was a spiritual growth time as we saw God open doors and hearts and pocketbooks. I believe we are about to expand our horizons as a church as we share Christ along the way God gives each of us.
