Can you tell me a little of your life history?

I grew up in Tennessee, and went to college as a Music Education major, planning to be a band director. Jesus had other plans, though, and pulled me into His kingdom as a freshman in college, sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 10:10 p.m. on March 19, 1973 - primarily as a result of the witness of my voice teacher, Vicki Terrell. God called me into the pastorate that night. I transferred to Gordon College in Massachusetts my junior year, where I met Pam; we married in 1977.

After seminary, I pastored churches in Sumner, Nebraska, Oak Park, Illinois, and Wilton, New Hampshire. Between those churches I worked stints at Abbott Labs and Baldwin Pianos; I currently write technical courseware on Nortel Networks' Ethernet switches.

Pam and I came to Christ's Church in 2003; I became an Elder in 2005. We have three kids; our oldest daughter is currently an art major at Gordon.

Where would I bump into you around town?

You might bump into me in the line at the service desk at Home Depot, or in the aisles at Milford Paint. (We're restoring a Victorian Painted Lady here in Wilton.) You might also see me in the Science Fiction reader's group at the Toadstool Bookshop in Milford, the saxophone section of the Hollis Town band, or picking through the walnut at Currier lumber.

What do you do at Christ's Church?

Mostly, I enjoy the people here, and I enjoy seeing God work through them to build Jesus into each other. I'm active in several small groups (ask me about them!) and in developing new leaders.
