Our Kid's Connection program is for children Kindergarten
through fifth grade and runs during the 11:00am service.
The children have their own worship and prayer time,
and our program runs through the end of the service.
Using the Promiseland material developed by Willow Creek our program is based on a large group/small group format. We begin our time together with everyone meeting as one group. During this time, our Bible stories/truths are presented by a gifted communicator in a fun and creative way. The Bible lesson presentation varies from week to week - using dramas, video clips, creative story telling, it's never the same one week to the next. Our commitment is clearly presenting God's Word as Truth and as the basis of our lives which never changes.
After the large group Bible lesson, the children break into three small groups, K & 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 4th & 5th. During the small group time, the focus is on determining how to apply the teaching presented into the children's lives. The children are encouraged through active games and focused discussion to discover how they can personally apply what they have learned through the Bible lesson. The small group leader is commited to fostering a positive dynamic in their small group as well as developing a personal relationship with each child.
Our goal is to make Kid's Connection a place that the children look forward to coming every week! And, we want them to leave having learned about and having experienced God's love for them!
