Global Awareness Week 2022

GAW Sunday Keynote Speakers In partnership with our friends at Grace Chapel, we will take the week of November 3-9, 2022 to turn our attention to what God is doing around the world. This year’s theme is, “Are we listening?”There will be opportunities here in Amherst, as well as in Lexington and online to learn first-hand from mission partners as we listen to their stories of what God is doing around the globe. We’ll challenge ourselves to learn from our…

Operation Christmas Child 2022

Come and hear how the Lord uses this international program to bring the gospel TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH using shoe boxes. The most remote areas of the world, including no-access countries, WILL hear the gospel this year with your help. Begin praying about supporting Operation Christmas Child and taking home a box (or 3) to fill for a child(ren) that God has already hand-picked to be blessed by you! Boxes are now available in the foyer and will…

Good Works

What would it be like for the church to be good for the communities they live in and good also for the growth and wholeness of the people within? Many churches are good at one or the other. Few are good are both. But a small mission in southern Ohio has provided a compelling example of how the two can come together to bring life and be a light.  For over forty years, the community of Good Works, Inc., has…

EggFest 2022!

We had a blast hosting our first ever Drive-Thru EggFest in 2021, but we’re roaring back in 2022.   Our egg hunts are the real deal. No egg scrambles for the big kids. They’ll be hunting for their eggs in the woods the same way their grandparents did when they had to find their dinners growing up. Those who are especially eggs-peditious may find an extra surprise or two. And we’re featuring a whole lot more. Your family won’t want…

WHAT HAPPY COUPLES KNOW

Marriage matters. But it doesn’t always feel that way. When your relationship with your spouse is on the edge or it simply feels lifeless, a marriage can feel more like a fixture in your home than something that adds value to your life. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are happy couples who weren’t always happy couples. Change can happen. Whether your marriage is in trouble, whether you’d like to see new life in your relationships or…

Global Awareness Week 2021

November 14-18, 2021 This year, Global Awareness Week (GAW) will focus on the interconnectedness between local and global communities. In our busy everyday lives, we work and sacrifice for ourselves, our families and our loved ones. We want to provide them with love, with a future and a hope. Similarly, in our extended community, in the family of God near and far, our sisters and brothers also yearn for safety, for peace, for an opportunity to earn a living, to…

Safe Families

Safe Families for Children is a national movement of compassion that gives hope to families in crisis. This network of volunteer host families help parents who need temporary care for their children as they work through unmanageable or critical circumstances. Christ’s Church is proud to partner with our local Safe Families center at Bethany Christian services in Candia, NH. There is a great need for more foster and respite families, Safe Families volunteers, and supports for local children and families…

Finding Our Way Forward

As we re-enter life after the pandemic, and as the church re-invents itself for the new normal, what kind of people do we want to be, and does the world need us to be? Our culture is increasingly suspicious of, resistant to, and even hostile toward institutional Christianity. What can we learn from the early believers about practicing “the way of Jesus” in a way that opens people’s hearts to the good news of life with God? Check out our…

Easter 2021

Do you know what you’re looking for—and where to find it? The Easter story changes our expectations about life, death, and the life to come.

Good Friday

In a garden called Gethsemane we come alongside a man marked for death—and at a distance, the friends who love him. His life, his mission, and history have all led to this moment. But how can anyone go forward on a road so twisted with grief? How do we live in a moment or a season overshadowed by pain, and even death? On Good Friday, join us in for an online experience of prayer, teaching, music, and communion, as we…
